AI Agent Intern | Thnks

The Tone:
This is an internship at Thnks, located in Franklin, TN, with a hybrid schedule of Monday through Thursday in-person and Fridays working from home. Thnks builds a leading platform for real-time business relationship building, empowering professionals to send thoughtful gestures with ease and compliance. This role matters because it will prototype the future of relationship intelligence, exploring how technology can enhance professional connections and help identify optimal moments for showing gratitude.

• Team: Reports to Senior Director, Product & Technology; collaborates with Data Analytics, Product, and Engineering.
• Mission: Prototype an AI-powered recommendation system that suggests when users should send thoughtful gestures based on contextual signals.
• Tech Stack: Rule-based logic, lightweight machine learning.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Foundation: Collaborate with the Data Analytics team to identify and structure crucial relationship signals from sources like calendar activity, CRM milestones, and platform behavior.
• Recommendation Model: Prototype a recommendation engine, utilizing rule-based logic or lightweight machine learning, to determine the right moment for users to send a Thnks.
• AI Assistant Prototype: Design and build a simple in-app assistant that surfaces these recommendations and generates suggested messages for users.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the Data Analytics, Product, and Engineering teams to solve real business challenges and integrate AI applications.

• Experience: Not Specified. Comfortable working with data and adept at identifying patterns or signals that drive meaningful insights.
• Skills: Analytical thinking, a systems mindset for connecting various platforms, strong communication of technical ideas, and an interest in data privacy, compliance, and responsible AI.
