What You’ll Actually Do
• Design: Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex web applications and services.
• Code: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code for front-end and back-end systems.
• Architecture: Architect and implement scalable, secure, and highly available APIs and microservices.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with product management and design teams to translate user needs into development plans.
• Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative learning environment.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional full-stack web development experience, with strong proficiency in a modern front-end framework (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and extensive back-end development using languages like Node.js, Python, Java, Go, or Ruby.
• Skills: Deep understanding of relational and NoSQL databases; experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and GraphQL; familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes); solid understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns; and experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Bonus: Experience with real-time applications or event-driven architectures, familiarity with serverless computing paradigms, contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal projects, experience with performance testing and optimization techniques, and knowledge of security best practices for web applications.
