What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead the full lifecycle of complex software systems and APIs for the core platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineering teams to define technical specifications and deliver innovative features.
• Drive architectural decisions, implementing best practices for software development, code quality, and system maintainability across the team.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering their technical growth and professional development through guidance and knowledge sharing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, optimizing application performance, stability, and resource utilization.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. This role requires an experienced professional with a strong focus on backend systems, distributed architectures, or platform engineering.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend systems, distributed architectures, or platform engineering. Proven ability to lead projects, drive initiatives, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Skills: Expert proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, Go, or C#); solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design principles, and software design patterns; extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes); proficiency with relational and/or NoSQL databases; strong experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and/or gRPC services; familiarity with message queues and event streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS); proficiency with Git.
• Bonus: Experience with microservices architecture and designing highly scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems; familiarity with DevOps practices, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk); contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal projects; experience in a specific industry domain; knowledge of security best practices for cloud-native applications.
