What You’ll Actually Do
• Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant, and high-performance backend services and APIs using modern languages and frameworks.
• Develop and maintain critical infrastructure components, tools, and automation to enhance developer workflows and operational efficiency.
• Lead technical projects from initial conception through deployment, including architectural design, code reviews, and post-launch monitoring.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineering teams, and SRE/DevOps to understand requirements and deliver robust technical solutions.
• Contribute to the evolution of our cloud infrastructure, focusing on optimizing costs, security, and resource utilization.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, indicating a senior career level in software development.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a significant focus on backend systems, distributed systems, or platform engineering, including extensive experience with cloud platforms.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Go, Java, Python, or C++); demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures; solid understanding of relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB, DynamoDB) database systems; proficiency with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes); experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools; strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Bonus: Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science; experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation); familiarity with messaging queues and streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS); knowledge of system observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Jaeger); experience with performance tuning, capacity planning, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles; contributions to open-source projects.
