What You’ll Actually Do
• Design and Implement: Contribute to the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of object-oriented software applications using Java, C++, Python, and/or Bash.
• Participate in Lifecycle: Engage in the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, integration, installation, and testing.
• Support Modernization: Aid in SBIRS Program modernization efforts focused on achieving greater efficiency and usability for software applications.
• Collaborate on Projects: Work closely with an enthusiastic team of software, systems, and test engineers utilizing the Agile Development methodology.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, or a related field, for an Early Career Software Engineer role.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in coding with C++, Python, Bash, and/or Java; foundational knowledge of data structures. Applicants must also possess or be able to obtain an interim secret security clearance prior to start, and have the ability to travel locally up to 10%.
• Skills: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Bonus: At least 1 year of software development experience; familiarity with Agile development concepts, including Scrum or Kanban methodologies; experience with CI/CD tools, particularly Git lab; demonstrated ability to design solutions for complex software problems; willingness to work with geographically distributed teams; experience integrating software components via machine-to-machine interfaces (e.g., RTOS, Embedded Systems); background in test automation, continuous integration, deployment, development, debugging, and/or testing.
