The Junior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for managing the build, release, and deployment processes for both iOS and Android platforms. What You’ll Actually Do
• Pipeline Management: Design and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Mobile Release Management: Manage the build and deployment workflows for iOS and Android mobile applications, including releases to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Version Control: Utilize Git for version control, ensuring effective code management and collaboration across development cycles.
• System Troubleshooting: Identify, debug, and resolve complex issues within development and deployment environments.
• Infrastructure Support: Work with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes and support cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, with a strong preference for candidates with a mobile-focused background.
• Experience: Practical experience with mobile application build and deployment workflows for both iOS and Android platforms, including familiarity with Apple App Store and Google Play Store release processes. Strong understanding and practical experience with Git.
• Skills: Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI); knowledge of at least one programming language (Java, .NET, or Swift); hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP); and hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker and Kubernetes). Strong troubleshooting and communication abilities.
• Bonus: Experience with mobile app performance monitoring tools; knowledge and practical experience in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby; familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies; and a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a US University with a good GPA.
