Job Summary

The Senior Product Manager will be a critical driver in defining, building, and launching products that delight our customers and achieve strategic business objectives. You will own the product lifecycle from conception through launch and iteration, working closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and operations teams. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, user empathy, technical acumen, and exceptional communication skills to translate vision into actionable roadmaps and deliver market-leading products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define Product Vision and Strategy: Develop and articulate a compelling product vision, strategy, and roadmap that aligns with company goals and market opportunities.
  • Market and User Research: Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and gather customer insights through interviews, surveys, and data analysis to identify unmet needs and opportunities.
  • Requirements Definition: Translate user needs and business requirements into detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for the engineering team.
  • Prioritization and Roadmapping: Own and maintain the product backlog, ruthlessly prioritizing features based on business impact, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment.
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with engineering, UX/UI design, marketing, sales, and customer support teams throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure timely delivery and successful go-to-market.
  • Product Launch and Iteration: Plan and execute successful product launches, working with marketing and sales to develop positioning, messaging, and sales enablement materials. Monitor product performance and user feedback post-launch to identify areas for improvement and iteration.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate product plans, progress, and performance to internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize data analytics and A/B testing to inform product decisions, measure success, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior product managers and contribute to the growth of the product team.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in product management, with at least 2 years in a senior role, successfully launching and managing software products or platforms.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of software development processes and web/mobile technologies. Ability to engage in technical discussions with engineering teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven ability to define and solve complex problems, breaking them down into actionable steps.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes.
  • User Empathy: Demonstrated passion for understanding and serving user needs.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority and influence stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Familiarity with product analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude).
  • Experience working in a SaaS or B2B software environment.
  • Prior experience with user experience (UX) design principles and user research methodologies.
  • Ability to create wireframes and mockups to convey product concepts.
