Senior Product Manager | Workday

The Tone:

• Team: Intelligent Experience Platform (IXP), within Core Services of the Platform organization
• Mission: Own the roadmap for core platform capabilities, balancing system modernization with developing agent-ready foundations for Workday’s future.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Roadmap Ownership: Own the roadmap for core platform capabilities across IXP products like Tasks Framework and My Tasks, collaborating closely with engineering leads and architects.
• System Modernization: Lead the migration from legacy systems to modern services, including API-accessible platforms built for both human and agentic consumption.
• Value Articulation: Make the business case for emerging opportunities, translating deep technical investments into clear business value for executive partners.
• Partner Negotiation: Represent the platform to partner teams across Workday, negotiating requirements to deliver the most value aligned with the product strategy.
• Data-Driven Decisions: Use usage data and telemetry to measure results, evaluate investment impact, and inform prioritization and product strategy.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience; senior career level product management.
• Experience: Minimum 8 years in product management, defining, launching, and iterating on impactful SaaS and/or cloud-based enterprise software products; proven cross-team collaboration with engineering, design, and product leadership.
• Skills: Drive business influence across product teams, work with usage data and system telemetry for actionable insights, make deliberate product and technical trade-offs in complex environments, manage diverse partners with competing needs, and communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bonus: Deep understanding of the enterprise platform and SaaS landscape, lead research efforts to inform product strategy, contribute to and shape the long-term vision of the product portfolio, and proactively seek to understand customer pain points translating them into impactful product solutions.
