Job Title: Junior Accountant
About the Role
This is a full-time, in-office position for a Junior Accountant at Bar JA Bookkeeping, located in Fort Collins, CO. The successful candidate will be a key part of our team, contributing to the financial health of our clients through diligent and accurate accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle day-to-day accounting tasks, including managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Accurately reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Prepare various financial reports to provide clear insights into client finances.
- Assist with payroll processing and related tasks.
- Support budget preparation and financial planning activities.
- Process financial data efficiently and ensure its integrity.
- Ensure full compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with the team to strengthen client relationships and proactively address their accounting needs.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency in bookkeeping and general accounting practices, including a solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial statement preparation.
- Demonstrable experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar industry-standard tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills and the proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team and build rapport with clients.
- Basic understanding of payroll processing and tax compliance regulations.
Education & Additional Assets:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role is a significant advantage.
