This is a full-time Respiratory Therapy position at Corewell Health Wayne Hospital, working 36 hours per week on the midnight shift.

About Corewell Health Wayne Hospital
Corewell Health Wayne Hospital, established in 1957, is a full-service hospital serving the western Wayne communities. It is the only hospital in the Wayne, Westland, Garden City, Canton, Inkster, and Romulus area verified by the American College of Surgeons as a Level III Trauma Center. The hospital maintains a longstanding partnership with Detroit Metropolitan Airport and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to manage a variety of health and communicable disease concerns, including mass trauma and emergency patients.
Scope of Work
Under the supervision of their assigned preceptor and/or the license of their Supervisor, the Respiratory Therapy graduate will:
- Implement and evaluate diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders.
- Participate in the education of patients.
- Provide technical support for all equipment related to the practice of Respiratory Care.
- Assist patients of all ages with acute and chronic illness in returning to a productive lifestyle.
Qualifications
- Required: Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Required: Eligible for position after attainment of RRT NBRC status.
- Required: LIC-Respiratory Therapist – STATE_MI (State of Michigan license) within 90 days of hire.
- Required: CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry – NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care certification) within 90 days of hire.
- Required: CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA (American Heart Association) Upon Hire OR CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) – ARC (American Red Cross) Upon Hire.
