The Tone:
This is a full-time Respiratory Therapy position at Corewell Health Wayne Hospital, working 36 hours per week on the midnight shift. Our Respiratory Care Department is dedicated to providing comprehensive respiratory therapy services across all age groups, utilizing the latest technology and evidence-based practices. This role is vital for assisting physicians and healthcare professionals in diagnosing and managing cardiopulmonary disorders, contributing to the well-being of patients in the western Wayne communities. What You’ll Actually Do
• Service Implementation: Implement and evaluate diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders.
• Patient Education: Participate in the education of patients regarding their respiratory health and care plans.
• Equipment Support: Provide technical support for all equipment related to the practice of Respiratory Care.
• Patient Rehabilitation: Assist patients of all ages with acute and chronic illness in returning to a productive lifestyle.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy, qualifying for an early career position as a Respiratory Therapist graduate.
• Experience: Eligible to begin after attainment of RRT NBRC status; must secure a State of Michigan Respiratory Therapist license within 90 days of hire; obtain CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry from NBRC within 90 days of hire; and hold CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA or ARC upon hire.
• Skills: Capability to implement and evaluate diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services; proficiency in patient education; ability to provide technical support for respiratory care equipment; and skills in assisting patients across all age groups to manage acute and chronic illness for improved quality of life.
