Junior Customer Support & Logistics Specialist | MacGregor

This is an early career position at MacGregor, located in Houston, Texas. MacGregor is a global leader specializing in providing sustainable cargo and load handling solutions for the maritime and offshore industries, with its solutions integral to over half of the world’s merchant fleet. This Junior Customer Support & Logistics Specialist role, also known as an Account Support professional, is a critical link in the global supply chain. You will be responsible for managing the entire spare parts process—from initial inquiry to on-time delivery—ensuring our customers’ essential equipment remains operational worldwide. This position offers challenges and opportunities for professional development within an international, collaborative working culture.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Support: Serve as the first point of contact for all spare parts requests, meticulously managing the full cycle from creating initial quotes and processing orders to providing diligent and timely follow-up to maritime customers.
• Logistics Coordination: Proactively identify and swiftly resolve any challenges impacting delivery timelines, collaborating effectively across various internal teams, including logistics, technical support, and finance, to find quick and effective solutions that ensure customer equipment remains operational.
• Relationship Building: Develop strong, lasting customer relationships by deeply understanding their specific needs, enabling you to provide tailored support and establish yourself as a trusted partner in their operations.
• Issue Resolution: Take full ownership of all customer challenges, diligently ensuring that commitments are not just met but consistently exceeded, and meticulously log and manage all claims, complaints, and non-conformances.
• Process Improvement: Work actively with colleagues to determine the root cause of recurring issues and proactively challenge current processes to drive continuous improvement in MacGregor’s overall service delivery.

• Skills: Exceptional organizational skills and a detail-oriented, structured approach to work; strong collaboration and problem-solving skills to navigate complex operational issues; and excellent proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Bonus: Fluency in an additional language, such as Spanish, will be considered an advantage.
