Investor Relations Summer Intern | IDEX

The Tone:
This is a summer internship at IDEX, a company that operates more than 40 diverse businesses globally, providing trusted solutions that improve lives around the world. This role offers a unique opportunity for a high-performing undergraduate student to gain direct exposure to real-world Investor Relations strategy, financial modeling tied to company guidance, and the practical application of Artificial Intelligence in finance. You will work closely with senior leadership and contribute to executive-level communications within a corporate environment, making a tangible impact.

• Team: Investor Relations team, reporting directly to the Vice President of Investor Relations
• Mission: This intern supports the Vice President of Investor Relations by applying finance, capital markets, and analytical skills, including the integration of AI tools, to enhance corporate investor relations processes and financial reporting accuracy.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, AI tools

What You’ll Actually Do
• Integrate Artificial Intelligence tools into Investor Relations processes, supporting data collection, peer analysis, financial analysis, script drafting, and Q&A preparation.
• Maintain and enhance Investor Relations data repositories, ensuring alignment with FP&A data sources and financial reporting outputs.
• Improve and update the Excel-based financial forecast model, ensuring accurate linkages between the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
• Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis to support earnings preparation and investor discussions, including model updates.
• Prepare, update, and format PowerPoint presentations for earnings calls, investor meetings, conferences, and internal leadership updates.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Experience: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Comfort working with large data sets. Experience with financial modeling is strongly preferred.
• Skills: High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
• Bonus: Demonstrated interest in capital markets or corporate finance. Interest in applying AI or automation tools to improve workflows.
