Entry Level Driver Trainee | PFG
The Tone:
This is a full-time, entry-level driver training role at PFG, an essential company dedicated to America’s food distribution system. This position is vital for learning the skills to safely and efficiently deliver a wide range of food and related products to customers. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that goods reach their destinations in strict accordance with company policies and DOT regulations, supporting the foundational work of our food supply chain.

• Pay: $250 daily
• Mission: Safely learn to operate tractor-trailers or straight trucks to deliver and unload food products, upholding customer service and regulatory compliance.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Training & Development: Successfully complete the PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program, ensuring all required documentation is completed and maintained.
• Safety & Inspection: Perform all mandatory safety checks, including pre/post-trip inspections of the tractor, truck, and trailer, reporting any safety issues or necessary repairs promptly.
• Customer Delivery Execution: Drive predetermined routes to deliver customer orders, professionally interacting with customers, vendors, and co-workers while adhering to service practices.
• Product Handling & Verification: Unload products into customer storage areas, performing damage control checks, verifying deliveries, obtaining signatures, and handling customer returns.
• Compliance & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate daily records of hours of service in logs according to Federal DOT, state, and company requirements, and complete all necessary delivery paperwork.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent, and meeting state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable.
• Experience: Must be 21 years of age, possess a valid CDL A, a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years, and attain or possess a valid current DOT Health Card.
• Skills: Ability to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight generally ranging from 60 to 90 pounds throughout the shift, and successfully pass a post-offer drug test and road test.
