Ocean Spray: Entry-Level Production Resources Technician (Night Shift)

Ocean Spray is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Entry-Level Production Resources Technicians at our Kenosha Bottling Plant. Compensation & Schedule

  • Starting Pay: $23.66/hour
  • Night Shift Differential: $0.75/hour (bringing starting total to $24.41/hour)
  • Earning Potential: Up to $32.20/hour within 90 days
  • Shift: Night shift (6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.)
  • Schedule: 12-hour 2-2-3 schedule, offering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off every other week.
  • Breaks: Three paid 30-minute breaks per shift.
  • Shift Mobility: Opportunities to move to day shift as openings become available.

Position Overview: Production Resource

As an entry-level Production Resource, your responsibilities will be dynamic and can vary daily based on plant staffing needs and qualifications. This role is crucial for supporting our high-speed manufacturing operations and ensures the continuous production of our cranberry products.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • General housekeeping duties.
  • Providing support to Line Operators.
  • Assisting in the Bottle Depalletizer Room (BDR).
  • Working in the Lab testing product.
  • Batching ingredients.
  • Unloading sugar trucks.
  • Helping on the bulk line.
  • Working in the refinement area.
  • Stacking finished product.
  • Assisting in rework/repack operations.

This position requires flexibility and adaptability, as manufacturing needs often change, necessitating schedule adjustments.

What We Are Looking For

  • Ability to work in a 24/7 environment, including 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, and potentially some holidays.
  • Must be flexible to work on day or night shift as needed.
  • Ability to work overtime for vacation coverage and training purposes.
  • Maintain excellent attendance reliability.
  • Perform Cleaning In Place (CIP) in all required areas.
  • Ensure compliance with all Safety and Quality standards, processes, and procedures.
  • Ensure proper operation of equipment (e.g., fill temperature, fill weights, torques).
  • No deviation from required documentation; ensure information is timely, accurate, and complete.
  • Communicate effectively with all operators on the same shift and between shifts to ensure continuous line productivity and effective operations.

Skills and Abilities Needed

  • Ability to be or become Forklift Certified.
  • Ability to lift up to 48 lbs on occasion.
  • Ability to stand, perform, and maneuver around a plant and production line during a 12-hour shift. This includes actions such as walking, lifting, climbing, bending, stretching and reaching, squatting, crawling under conveyors, using ladders, and may require long periods of standing and frenzied activity.
  • Possess adequate vision and hearing.
  • Ability to wear and work using fall and other protection equipment (e.g., safety glasses with side shields, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, hairnets, rubber shoes, aprons or coveralls, smocks, gloves, and face shields).
  • Ability to effectively use hand tools.
  • Ability to apply understanding to stoppages of the production lines.
