The Career Path: From Recruiter to Account Manager or Professional Recruiter
Entry-Level Recruiter
As an entry-level Recruiter, you’ll be integrated into a supportive team environment with dedicated mentors providing guidance every step of the way. From day one, you’ll be immersed in “The IG Way”, our cutting-edge training program designed to teach not only our operational methods but also how to accelerate your sales career.
The Recruiter role is foundational for a successful sales career at Insight Global. You will learn the intricacies of staffing and our services, preparing you to effectively sell them to current and future clients. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a matchmaker between companies and candidates.
- Reviewing resumes from our internal database and various online job boards.
- Conducting thorough phone interviews to assess candidate suitability.
- Preparing candidates for meetings with hiring managers.
- Negotiating job offers to ensure successful placements.
On average, employees spend approximately six months in the Recruiter role. Following this initial period, you will enroll in either Account Manager Training (AMT) or Professional Recruiter Training (PRT). This intensive 8 to 12-week program allows you to apply learned skills and knowledge to real-world scenarios with future clients, ultimately earning your promotion into one of these specialized roles.
Account Manager
Account Managers are the front-facing representatives of Insight Global, building crucial relationships with clients. In this role, you will:
- Work directly with hiring managers at Fortune 1,000 companies.
- Research and target organizations in need of staffing services.
- Establish initial connections through networking and strategic cold calls.
- Become a valuable business consultant, fostering long-term client relationships.
- Conduct in-person meetings and lunches to understand client hiring goals and team dynamics.
- Sell Insight Global’s staffing services, demonstrating how they can elevate client businesses.
- Gather detailed job requirements and collaborate closely with the Recruiting team to identify perfect candidates.
Account Managers are experts in all aspects of hiring, selling comprehensive staffing solutions rather than just a product.
Professional Recruiter
Professional Recruiting at Insight Global represents a specialized, next-level approach to recruiting, akin to an advanced form of inside sales. As a Professional Recruiter, you will:
- Become an expert in identifying top talent in the job market.
- Focus intensely on job seekers and our consultants.
- Work to pair qualified candidates with their ideal job opportunities.

Compensation & Benefits
Insight Global offers a competitive compensation package designed to reward hard work and success:
- Base Salary: Entry-level Recruiters receive a base salary ranging from $38,000 to $68,640 annually, dependent on office location.
- Long Term Incentive (LTI): A $5,000 LTI award upon completion of your first year.
- Promotion Compensation: Upon promotion to Account Manager, you receive a base salary increase, up to $5,400 annually in commission supplement, a corporate cell phone, and uncapped weekly commission.
Average Employee Earnings:
- Year 2: $73,000 – $88,000
- Year 3: $121,000 – $145,000
- Year 4: $135,000 – $194,000
Additional Benefits & Incentives:
- Account Managers and Professional Recruiters have the opportunity to win annual sales contests, including an all-expenses paid trip to the Bahamas, additional LTIPs, and cash bonuses starting at $7,500 – $10,000.
