The Graduate Medical Education Coordinator position is integral to the organization, serving as essential support for all graduate student education initiatives throughout the entire St. Joseph’s Health system. What You’ll Actually Do
Student & Resident Onboarding: Provide comprehensive support for the orientation, detailed onboarding processes, and precise scheduling for a wide range of new students, including Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Student Registered Nurse Anesthetists, Perfusionists, and Registered Nurse First Assistants, as well as visiting Residents and Fellows across the entire St. Joseph’s Health system.
Medical School & Clerkship Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact and dedicated liaison with various medical schools specifically for clerkship students, ensuring clear, consistent communication and efficient coordination of their educational experiences.
Compliance & Records Management: Diligently maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all visiting students and residents, while also working closely with several key departments—including the Employee Health Office, Informatics, Security, and various members of the Medical Staff—to ensure that all required student, resident, and Fellow prerequisites and ongoing requirements are meticulously met.
Residency Program Support: Offer essential administrative and logistical support to the Director of Medical Education for vital Family Medicine, Dental, and Transitional Year residency programs, contributing directly to the effective operation and success of these critical educational initiatives.
Administrative Coordination & Reporting: Systematically assist in the coordination and management of all necessary Affiliation Agreements and Program Letters of Agreement, which are fundamental to the legal and operational framework of educational programs, and maintain accurate schedules essential for IPRO (Internal Performance Reporting and Oversight) and crucial cost reporting.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, demonstrating foundational academic preparation for a coordinator role within a complex medical education environment.
• Experience: Prior experience specifically within Medical Education is considered helpful, indicating familiarity with the unique demands and protocols of graduate medical training programs.
• Skills: Possess a high level of organizational capability, exhibit detail-oriented precision, demonstrate a process-driven approach to tasks, and maintain a performance improvement mindset to continuously enhance operational efficiencies.
