• Mission: Contribute to the efficient operation of Sierra Pacific Industries’ state-of-the-art sawmill by learning various production tasks, supporting plant operations, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Machine Operation: Learn to operate and fill in on various machine stations efficiently within the manufacturing facility, actively contributing to daily production processes.
• Site Upkeep: Proactively shovel, rake, and sweep wood byproducts to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment throughout the plant site.
• Material Movement: Efficiently stack and pile lumber, and handle other materials, preparing them for subsequent processing or storage within the facility.
• Operational Support: Support overall plant operations by learning and performing varied tasks across different areas of the plant, with opportunities to explore roles in production, equipment maintenance, and supervision.
• Shift Adaptability: Work varied shifts, including overtime and weekends during busy production times, while consistently performing repetitive lifting and other physically demanding tasks in diverse hot and cold work environments.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career professional who is at least 18 years of age.
• Experience: Possess recent, related work history and verifiable references.
• Skills: Strong physical capability, including the ability to perform repetitive lifting and demanding tasks; adaptability to work effectively in varied hot and cold work environments; and a demonstrated willingness to learn and grow within a production setting.
