Behavior Technician | Cortica

The Tone:
This is a part-time role at Cortica, located in various client sites within a service area. Cortica is a unified team of doctors and therapists specializing in neurodevelopmental disorders. This role is crucial for helping children with autism and other developmental differences build essential communication, play, social, and daily life skills using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques. Behavior Technicians gain valuable hands-on experience in psychology, education, and healthcare while making a tangible difference in children’s lives.

The TL;DR
• Role: Part Time
• Type: Monday through Friday or Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays (3:30-6:30 pm or 4-7 pm shifts)
• Location: Various client sites within a service area (In-person)
• Pay: $20.87–$28.00 hourly
• Team: Works with a unified team of doctors and therapists
• Mission: Helps children with autism and other developmental differences build communication, play, social, and daily life skills using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.
• Tech Stack: EMR systems, Microsoft Office tools

What You’ll Actually Do
• Service Delivery: Provide one-on-one and group Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children in clients’ homes and in clinic.
• Data Management: Document session data thoroughly to track progress and support treatment goals.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with families and supervisors to create and maintain supportive environments for clients.
• Safety Protocol: Follow Cortica’s established crisis protocols, which include de-escalation techniques and mandated reporting procedures.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree is also accepted. Experience working with children.
• Experience: All experience levels are welcome, with a willingness to learn and be trained. Must be tech-savvy with EMR systems and Microsoft Office tools.
• Skills: Willingness to obtain your BCAT credential within 90 days of your start date (all training provided). Ability to consistently travel between client sites within a 30–40-minute radius using reliable transportation.
• Bonus: Experience specifically working with autism.
