Job Summary
As a team member at Harry’s, you will be responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to our guests. This role requires a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to creating “raving fans” among our customers and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Food & Beverage Service: Take orders, deliver food and/or beverage items, and clear items efficiently.
- Station Management: Ensure your station is properly set up and clean before, during, and after your shift.
- Guest Interaction: Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner, explain daily specials and restaurant promotions.
- Order Accuracy: Accurately input orders into the Point of Sale (POS) system and confirm accuracy of retrieved orders from the kitchen before delivery.
- Customer Satisfaction: Continuously ascertain guest satisfaction throughout their meal service.
- Compliance: Adhere to all state and federal regulations, as well as restaurant liquor policies, regarding serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
- Teamwork: Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a collaborative team atmosphere.
- Salesmanship: Actively engage as a “seller” rather than just an “order taker,” enhancing the guest experience.
- Quality & Standards: Demonstrate strong attention to detail and adhere to all company specifications and quality standards.
- Safety & Sanitation: Understand and practice safety and sanitation policies at all times.
Requirements
- Education: High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Experience: A minimum of one year of previous serving experience is preferred.
- Communication: Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written).
- Demeanor: Must have a courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and carry food trays for prolonged periods of time.
- Work Ethic: Demonstrates a high level of organization, cleanliness, and a strong sense of urgency.
- Availability: Flexible schedule required, including the ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
