Providence St Vincent Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Portland, OR.

As a Radiology Technologist at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, you will be an integral part of one of the largest diagnostic imaging centers in the Northwest. You will work within a team of dynamic and highly skilled technologists in an environment that fosters collaboration and innovation. This role offers the opportunity to grow and gain experience across a wide range of radiologic specialties, including:

• Surgical imaging
• Fluoroscopic and invasive procedures
• Portable and outpatient imaging across many hospital departments, including surgery, critical care, and our recently renovated emergency department.

Responsibilities

The Radiology Technologist performs imaging examinations according to physicians’ orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated imaging equipment. Key responsibilities include:

• Considering individual patients’ unique and/or age-related needs.
• Utilizing clinical knowledge and judgment for proper positioning factors, radiation dose calibration of technique, and patient treatment needed to produce optimal high-quality images.
• Performing all examinations with minimal radiation exposure to patient and operator, adhering to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.

Work Schedules & Compensation

• Schedules: Full-Time schedules available for 8, 10, and 12-hour Day, Evening, and Night Shifts.
• Sign-on Bonus: $6,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment. This is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment.
• Pay Range: The base pay range for this position is $36.99 – $57.44 per hour.
• Additional Compensation: Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Required Qualifications

• Education to meet certification, license, or registration requirement.
• Oregon Radiographer License upon hire, Or Oregon Radiographer Temporary License upon hire.
• National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 6 months (180 days) of hire.
• National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.
• New graduates: Must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire.
