What You’ll Actually Do
• Curriculum Delivery: Administer appropriate district curriculum aligned with Nevada State Standards and/or Common Core State Standards to provide a robust learning experience.
• Instructional Environment: Create and maintain a positive, orderly, and academically focused instructional environment that ensures respect and learning opportunities for all students.
• Lesson Development: Develop and implement effective lessons using the LCSD lesson plan template, analyzing student progress to provide individualized instruction and feedback.
• Classroom Management: Provide classroom management and discipline that ensures student safety at all times, including compliance with special services and assessment regulations.
• Professional Collaboration: Actively contribute to the School Performance Plan (SPP) process and participate as a collaborative member with other faculty, staff, parents, and the community.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in an education-related field, with a focus on secondary music (band) instruction.
• Experience: Must possess or be able to acquire a Nevada teaching license issued by the Nevada Department of Education, certified in the relevant subject area (Music – Band).
• Skills: Demonstrated knowledge and ability to provide instruction in a secondary classroom, effective classroom management, integration of technology into instructional programs, accurate record keeping, and professional communication (written, oral, and non-verbal).
