Paraprofessional | Center for Social Dynamics (CSD)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Student Support: Support classroom teachers and case managers in implementing academic and behavioral goals for students.
• Direct Assistance: Work one-on-one or in small groups with students who have special needs.
• Behavioral Interventions: Provide behavior support and interventions, including assistance with crisis intervention when necessary.
• Skill Development: Help students develop independence with daily living skills and support the implementation of Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
• Data Management: Collect and record data accurately while consistently maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma or GED. This is an early career role focused on supporting students with special needs in educational environments.
• Experience: Prior experience working with children or as a caregiver is required.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, basic computer proficiency, the ability to follow directions from teachers and supervisors, and demonstrated patience, dependability, and compassion.
• Bonus: Preferred qualifications include CPR certification, Paraprofessional certification or similar, and experience working specifically in a school setting.
