SQE Graduate Intern | MKS Global Supply Chain

The Tone:
This is a 12-week summer internship at MKS Global Supply Chain. MKS is focused on improving supplier quality performance and processes within its global supply chain. This role offers an advanced degree student a comprehensive opportunity to contribute to enhancing supplier quality through data analytics and process development, directly impacting the efficiency and effectiveness of MKS’s operations.

• Mission: Improve supplier quality performance and processes through data analytics and process development.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Collaborate with teams: Partner with other Supplier Quality representatives and relevant supply chain teams to align on strategic objectives and operational improvements.
• Enhance processes and data: Improve existing processes and data analytics frameworks to gain deeper insights into supplier quality performance and overall supply chain efficiency.
• Drive supplier improvement: Support designated Supplier Quality Engineers in implementing initiatives to drive continuous improvement directly with applicable suppliers.
• Manage non-conformities: Assist the Supplier Quality and Purchasing teams in efficiently managing supplier non-conformities and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Monitor performance metrics: Develop and maintain robust monitoring systems for key supplier quality metrics, publishing findings to improve visibility and inform decision-making across the organization.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a Master’s program for Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or relevant majors, with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and May 2027.
• Experience: Demonstrated project management skills are essential, along with practical experience using data analytic software. Must be a US person (U.S. citizens, noncitizen nationals, lawful permanent residents, individuals granted asylum, and individuals admitted as refugees) due to ITAR/EAR regulations.
• Skills: Proficiency in data analytic software such as Power BI or Spotfire. Ability to develop efficient reporting and processes for executing supplier quality activities. Competence in assisting with the management of supplier non-conformities and driving resolution.
• Bonus: Familiarity with ERP systems like Oracle or SAP. Previous direct or indirect exposure to a manufacturing environment. Some exposure to Quality Management and relevant tools.
