Affordable Housing Funding Research Intern | ESD

The Tone:
This is a Temporary Internship at ESD, located in New York, NY. ESD is an integral part of the Governor’s five-year $35 billion housing plan, focused on creating or preserving 100,000 affordable homes statewide. This role matters by directly contributing to this ambitious goal through crucial research and analysis of funding opportunities for real estate developers. Your work will help facilitate the construction and preservation of affordable housing units across New York State.

• Identify: Pinpoint specific financing opportunities from entities like NYS Housing and Community Renewal or Housing and Urban Development.
• Contribute: Play an integral role in advancing the Governor’s five-year $35 billion housing plan to create or preserve 100,000 affordable homes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in any major.
• Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Bonus: PowerPoint proficiency.
