• Team: Reports to Pension Management and Disability Retirement Coordinator teams, collaborating with Medical Board administrative staff.
• Mission: To provide essential administrative and data tracking support for pension and disability applications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Maintain: Maintain a critical tracking log in Excel for disability applications, obtaining necessary information from emails and various spreadsheets.
• Assist: Assist Pension Managers by accurately tracking and logging approximately 5,000 pension affidavits each year.
• Process: Perform essential tasks including filing, logging, and scanning of retirement applications.
• Adhere: Work diligently under strict deadlines to ensure all tasks are completed promptly and accurately.
• Support: Provide comprehensive clerical support, including copying, scanning, writing letters, and managing incoming and outgoing mail.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience for an early career role.
• Experience: Under 5 years of experience as an assistant or coordinator. Any relevant internships in Peoplesoft, HRIS, medical office, retirement planning, or pension fields are a significant asset.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data input, review, reconciliation, and reporting; clear written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail; ability to consistently adhere to strict deadlines.
• Bonus: Exposure to HRIS systems; experience gained in a medical office environment; demonstrated emotional intelligence and ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
