What You’ll Actually Do
• Learn: Participate in Herc Rentals’ Black and Gold Academy to develop professional selling skills, account management, and territory planning.
• Observe: Shadow Territory Sales Representatives and visit customer job sites to observe sales best practices and understand project needs.
• Support: Assist with customer outreach, lead generation, and support revenue growth within assigned sales territories.
• Understand: Learn core branch operations, equipment processes, and logistics to build foundational industry knowledge.
• Prepare: Complete the 12-month program to be ready for full-time placement into a Territory Sales Representative role and receive coaching for future leadership opportunities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career professional with an interest in building a long-term sales career.
• Experience: 0-5 years of sales or relevant customer-facing experience required. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within an assigned territory.
• Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer relationship-building skills; competitive, self-motivated, and goal-oriented mindset; effective time management; willingness to learn and apply feedback.
• Bonus: Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred; flexibility to work in multiple locations with openness to relocation for career growth.
