The Tone:
This is a temporary internship at Hillstone Restaurant Group, with placements available across the country, strongly focusing on opportunities in East Hampton, NY, and Aspen, CO. Hillstone Restaurant Group operates a collection of 45+ upscale restaurants, including well-known brands like Houston’s, Hillstone, and R+D Kitchen. This role is designed to immerse rising college seniors in the comprehensive business of restaurant and culinary management, providing hands-on exposure to daily operations and service.

The TL;DR

• Location: In-person, nationwide (strong focus on East Hampton, NY and Aspen, CO)
• Pay: $1000 weekly
• Mission: To expose rising seniors to the full scope of restaurant and culinary business, focusing on daily operations and service, while providing insight into management functions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Daily Operations: Apprentice staff-level roles to learn daily restaurant operations and service execution.
• Management Exposure: Gain an understanding of various management-level functions within the restaurant environment.
• Staffing Support: Learn about the hiring processes involved in building a restaurant team.
• Team Development: Participate in the training and coaching of staff members to uphold service standards.
• Financial Acumen: Understand the principles of inventory management and P&L (Profit & Loss) oversight.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Rising college seniors with a serious interest in pursuing a career in restaurant management or culinary management.
• Experience: No previous experience working in restaurants is required for this internship.
• Bonus: Prior experience working in restaurants is considered helpful for this role.
