About the Job: Bartender / Bar Associate

As a Bartender / Bar Associate, you will be the heart of our beverage service, responsible for creating an atmosphere that is both welcoming and exciting for our guests. You’ll take pride in offering a diverse and seasonally-inspired beverage menu, engaging in warm conversations, and providing helpful suggestions. Your ability to shine will ensure our guests look forward to relaxing with you after a long day.

Compensation

$10 / hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Craft a variety of beverages, pour beer & wine, and provide exceptional service to both corporate and leisure guests at the bar.
  • Skillfully tap beer kegs and serve both draft and bottled alcoholic beverages.
  • Take accurate orders for and serve bar bites prepared by our cook.
  • Diligently monitor and manage alcohol sales and consumption in strict compliance with NC Liquor Laws, including verifying proper identification to ensure all purchasers meet the minimum age requirement of 21 years.
  • Perform some heavy lifting, including carrying beer kegs and cases, as required.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, orderliness, and full stocking of the bar, preparation, and all other assigned areas at all times.
  • Accurately balance shift reports and the cash drawer, and efficiently process credit card payments.
  • Answer general guest questions and provide insightful information about the property, local park, and surrounding area.
  • Execute pre and post-shift clean-up tasks to ensure operational readiness and tidiness.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Demonstrate initiative and uphold the company’s strong reputation and commitment to safety, service, courtesy, cleanliness, and integrity.
  • Ability to quickly learn and efficiently operate a Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Capable of working collaboratively in a team setting while also demonstrating the ability to work independently.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet fluctuating business needs.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check if 18 years of age or older, which may include but is not limited to credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per company policy unless prohibited by federal, state or provincial law.
