About the Internship
This internship is designed to prepare candidates for potential full-time employment in a power plant environment. You will work closely with the Plant’s Engineers and Team Leaders, gaining hands-on experience in critical power generation activities. The program emphasizes safety, practical application of engineering principles, and a comprehensive understanding of plant operations.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Working in a team environment, you will assist engineers in day-to-day activities, which include, but are not limited to:
- Participating in outage project planning.
- Assisting with engineering design and review packages.
- Contributing to root cause analysis investigations.
- Maintaining safe work practices at all times.
- Spending time with maintenance and operations departments to gain a better understanding of power plant principles.
- Applying engineering principles to various tasks.
- Understanding and adhering to procedures, programs, and standards within your area of discipline.
- Utilizing computer skills, including familiarity with various databases, Windows environment, and Microsoft toolkit (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Managing multiple activities and adapting to changing priorities effectively.
- Specific assignments will be tailored based on your skill set and training needs.

Minimum Requirements
Education:
- Must be actively pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering.
- Selected candidate must be classified as a Junior or Senior in college at the time of hire (Summer 2026).
- A cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher is required (on a 4.0 scale).
