The Tone:

The firm is a global law firm known for its industry-focused strategy and pioneering work in areas like legal innovation and Artificial Intelligence. This role supports the firm’s Innovation team by researching, evaluating, and piloting emerging legal technologies, particularly AI-enabled tools, to enhance legal service delivery, operational efficiency, and client experience. It provides hands-on exposure to real-world applications of AI within a global law firm environment, with mentorship from experienced innovation professionals.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Conduct in-depth research on emerging legal technology and AI tools, with a particular focus on generative AI.
• Evaluate & Pilot: Assist with the evaluation and pilot support for new innovation initiatives, including testing workflows and meticulously documenting findings.
• Develop Materials: Support the development of internal materials such as playbooks, detailed process documentation, comprehensive training guides, and executive summaries for various stakeholders.
• Analyze Trends: Analyze market trends, vendor offerings, and competitor activity within the legal innovation and AI landscape.
• Gather Feedback: Help to gather feedback from attorneys and business professionals, synthesizing these insights into actionable recommendations for the innovation team.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate or graduate degree in law, business, computer science, data science, or information systems. This is an early career position.
• Experience: Demonstrated interest in legal innovation, Artificial Intelligence, and technology-enabled service delivery within the legal sector.
• Skills: Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills; comfort learning new tools and technologies; strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively; professional, collaborative, and curious mindset; good judgment and accountability.
• Bonus: Prior exposure to AI or legal tech; prior exposure to coding languages and additional technical tools.
