The Tone:
This is an internship at Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP, located in various cities across Texas including Houston, Dallas, Austin, or San Antonio. This role is crucial for supporting the firm’s Innovation team in researching, evaluating, and piloting emerging legal technologies, particularly AI-enabled tools, to enhance legal service delivery, operational efficiency, and client experience.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Conduct research on emerging legal technology and AI tools, including generative AI.
• Evaluation: Assist with the evaluation and piloting of new innovation initiatives, testing workflows and documenting findings.
• Documentation: Support the development of internal materials such as playbooks, process documentation, and training guides.
• Analysis: Analyze market trends, vendor offerings, and competitor activity within legal innovation and AI.
• Feedback: Gather feedback from attorneys and business professionals, synthesizing insights into actionable recommendations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate or graduate degree in law, business, computer science, data science, information systems, or a related field.
• Experience: Demonstrated interest in legal innovation, AI, and technology-enabled service delivery, with comfort in learning new tools and technologies.
• Skills: Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills; strong attention to detail; professional and collaborative mindset; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bonus: Prior exposure to AI, legal tech, coding languages, or additional tools is beneficial.
