Compensation & Schedule
- Hourly Pay: $24.51 per hour
- Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday
- Hours:
- Tuesday – Thursday: 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm (Second Shift)
- Friday: 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm
- Saturday: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Responsibilities
As a Fueler Service Technician, your key responsibilities will include:
- Fueling a variety of vehicles.
- Washing and detailing vehicles; safely moving heavy-duty vehicles as needed.
- Performing multi-point inspections on inbound units according to company policies and procedures.
- Checking tire pressure and reporting any service issues to the shop.
- Recording fuel activity and maintaining accurate fuel and DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) inventories and reconciliation.
- Maintaining the fuel island area to Six Sigma standards and policies.
- Performing some facility maintenance and minor maintenance tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Changing tires.
- Inspecting refrigeration units on trucks.
- Emptying trash and maintaining cleanliness.
- Performing other duties as assigned to support operations.
Requirements
We are looking for motivated individuals who meet the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Up to one (1) year of experience preferred; however, no experience required.
- Proficiency in English written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated customer service skills; ability to understand customer’s verbal communication.
- Understanding of computer hardware and software, especially word processing, spreadsheets, and email. Must be able to read and understand codes and instructions on the computer; basic computer skills and ability to perform data entry are essential.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High degree of thoroughness and dependability.
- Must be able to work flexible schedules including shift work, weekends, and holidays; must be able to work at different locations as required.
- Ability to:
- Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, and supervisors).
- Work independently and as a member of a team.
- Flexibility to operate, and self-driven to excel, in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability for multi-tasking and highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
DOT Safety Regulated Position Requirements
This position requires you to drive Ryder vehicles and is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) safety regulations. To become a Ryder employee, you must:
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A preferred, but must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.
- Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
- Pass a DOT physical.
- Pass a Ryder road test.
- Pass a Ryder Background and Motor Vehicle Check, including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
This is a Safety Sensitive Position.
