• Team: Reports to the IT & Audio-Visual Support Manager and collaborates with events and operations teams.
• Mission: This person sets up, operates, and troubleshoots AV equipment for various events, ensuring flawless execution and outstanding guest experiences.
• Tech Stack: Audio, Video, Lighting, Web Conferencing Services, control systems, personal computers, servers.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Event Execution: Ensure the successful execution of all events, including meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events, through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of audiovisual equipment.
• Client Relations: Establish and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external clients through clear and professional communication, meeting on-site to confirm needs, and monitoring satisfaction throughout the day.
• Technical Support: Confidently understand the technical aspects of audiovisual equipment and software to quickly and professionally troubleshoot and resolve any equipment or software issues while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
• Service Management: Systematically sell, plan, and execute Audio-Visual services with the guidance of the Audio-Visual & IT Support Manager, leveraging extensive knowledge to anticipate client requirements, finalize orders, and bill accordingly.
• Hotel Support: Support basic Information Technology related needs throughout the Hotel and assist the IT & Audio-Visual Support Manager with Hotel projects, client relations, and Audio-Visual department development.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience: Prior audio/visual experience is preferred.
• Skills:
• Familiarity and basic understanding of Audio, Video, Lighting & Web Conferencing Services.
• Excellent Guest Service capabilities.
• Experience with audio, video, control systems and like technology.
• Experience in systems integration.
• Familiarity with personal computers, servers, and like technology.
