Junior Designer

Salary Range: $61,172 – $75,855

Job Level: Individual Contributor

Position Location: Columbia, Missouri (On-site, Full-time)

Shelter maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in geographic location, education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. What You Will Be Doing

  • Serve as a member of Shelter’s Digital Strategy group.
  • Provide user/customer experience and design support for key business functions.
  • Support internal and external applications and websites.
  • Support other corporate projects as part of the Digital Strategy team.
  • Portfolio of work or Project Examples are required.

What We’re Looking For

  • Understanding of user experience (UX) and customer experience (CX) concepts and practices.
  • Understanding of basic web site design and design tools.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including technical and business teams.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job-related experience typically required in fields such as human factors, psychology, communications, journalism, design, or other related areas. Prior experience in communication, journalism, or design roles is also applicable.
  • Experience: Typically requires zero to three years of experience in a design role or applicable educational background.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
