• Team: Works as an engineer in training on water resources projects, under the supervision of experienced engineers.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Perform Engineering Assignments: Execute assigned engineering duties, including design calculations, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates, under the guidance of experienced and licensed engineers.
• Model and Analyze Water Resources: Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using specialized software to identify drainage issues and develop potential solutions for water resources projects.
• Prepare Project Documentation: Utilize CAD design tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation Geopak, or ORD DU for designing project elements, and GIS software for analysis and creating exhibits and plans.
• Support Project Reporting: Assist experienced engineers with the preparation of comprehensive project reports, ensuring clear and concise communication of findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate on Project Delivery: Work effectively within a team environment, communicating with supervisors to ensure instructions are understood and contributing to the successful completion of projects within scope and budget.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Biological and Agricultural Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.
• Experience: Entry-level professional experience, typically as an Engineer in Training.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel, strong organizational and communication (oral and written) skills, good attention to detail, and the ability to identify discrepancies while working effectively in a team environment.
• Bonus: Previous internship in a related field is preferred, along with strong academic performance and a sincere desire to gain industry knowledge and experience.
