Finance Intern – Summer 2026

Program Overview

Howmet Fastening Systems is seeking highly motivated and energetic students for its 2026 summer intern program. This program offers 10-12 weeks of structured, hands-on training designed to provide invaluable experience. Interns will engage in:

• Plant tours
• Seminars
• Networking events
• Projects specifically selected to add direct value to the business

At the conclusion of the program, interns will present their projects to plant managers, supervisors, and mentors. An internship at Howmet Fastening Systems aims to provide an experience applicable to various roles, and Howmet Aerospace’s goal is to evaluate interns for potential entry-level openings.

Reporting Structure

This position will report directly to the site’s Finance Manager, with daily coaching and guidance from the team.

Key Project & Responsibilities

The Howmet Aerospace Summer Internship Program will involve engaging in impactful projects that contribute to the company’s objectives and the intern’s professional development. A primary project for this role includes:

• Fixed Asset Photos & Inventory: Locating and photographing all fixed assets in the plant, then uploading the information into corporate forms for loading into the corporate fixed asset database.

Additional Requirements

• Able to work full-time, on-site for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning in May or June 2026.
• Able to provide own transportation for the position in Torrance, California.
• Relocation assistance is not provided for this position.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or graduate degree program by the start of employment.
• Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.). Must be proficient working in a Microsoft systems environment; Excel proficiency is required.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic programming recommended.
• Prior Internship work experience.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Mathematics from an accredited institution.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical skills.

Compensation

The salary for this position is $25 per hour.
