This role offers a unique opportunity to support the firm’s Innovation team in the critical exploration, evaluation, and piloting of emerging legal technologies, particularly those powered by artificial intelligence. Through this work, the intern will directly contribute to enhancing the delivery of legal services, improving operational efficiency, and elevating the overall client experience within a leading global legal environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Conduct in-depth research on emerging legal technologies and advanced AI tools, including generative AI, to understand their potential applications within the legal field.
• Evaluation & Piloting: Provide support for the evaluation and piloting of new innovation initiatives, which involves testing new workflows and meticulously documenting findings and observations.
• Documentation: Support the creation and development of essential internal materials, such as detailed playbooks, process documentation, user-friendly training guides, and comprehensive executive summaries.
• Analysis: Analyze current market trends, assess various vendor offerings, and monitor competitor activity specifically within the domain of legal innovation and artificial intelligence.
• Feedback & Collaboration: Assist in gathering valuable feedback from attorneys and business professionals across the firm, synthesizing these insights into actionable recommendations, and collaborating with team members on special projects and client-facing initiatives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career level; currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate or graduate degree in a relevant field such as law, business, computer science, data science, or information systems.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are required; candidates must demonstrate a strong interest in legal innovation, artificial intelligence, and the delivery of services enabled by technology.
• Skills: Possesses excellent research, writing, and analytical abilities; comfortable with learning and adapting to new tools and technologies; exhibits strong attention to detail, good judgment, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bonus: Prior exposure to AI or legal technology; previous experience with coding languages and additional technical tools is advantageous.
