The Tone:
This is an internship at Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP, located in Houston, TX; Dallas, TX; Austin, TX; or San Antonio, TX. This role supports the firm’s Innovation team by researching, evaluating, and piloting emerging legal technologies, especially AI-enabled tools, to improve legal service delivery, operational efficiency, and client experience.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Conduct in-depth research on emerging legal technology and AI tools, focusing on generative AI applications.
• Evaluate: Assist with evaluation and pilot support for new innovation initiatives, testing workflows and documenting findings.
• Develop: Support the development of internal materials for knowledge sharing and training, such as playbooks and guides.
• Analyze: Analyze market trends, vendor offerings, and competitor activity within the legal innovation and AI landscape.
• Synthesize: Gather and synthesize feedback from attorneys and business professionals into actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate: Collaborate with Innovation team members on special projects and client-facing initiatives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate or graduate degree in law, business, computer science, data science, information systems, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience: Demonstrated strong interest in legal innovation, artificial intelligence, and technology-enabled service delivery within a professional context.
• Skills: Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills; comfortable learning and adapting to new tools rapidly; strong attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities; professional, collaborative, and curious mindset; good judgment and accountability.
• Bonus: Prior exposure to AI technologies or legal tech platforms; prior exposure to coding languages and additional specialized tools.
