This is a seasonal, full-time internship at Ion Bank, located in Naugatuck, CT. • Mission: Provide essential clerical and processing support to the Accounting/Finance area, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and responsiveness to internal and external requests.
• Tech Stack: PC, phone, fax, copier, calculator, wire transfer system, currently used bank hardware and software including AP package

What You’ll Actually Do
• Information Security: Uphold the safety and security of all customer information through diligent handling and processing.
• Daily Processing: Accurately process daily work and handle research requests promptly and precisely.
• Customer Responsiveness: Act responsively to internal and external customer requests, providing friendly and personalized service.
• Clerical Support: Provide essential seasonal clerical support for the Accounting/Finance area, including accurate and timely filing and scanning of invoices.
• Ledger Entries: Post basic entries to general ledger accounts as directed by the team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma required. This is an early career role.
• Experience: Six months to one year of office experience or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Skills: Ability to operate standard office equipment including a PC, phone, fax, copier, calculator, and wire transfer system; proficiency with currently used bank hardware and software, including AP packages. Demonstrated ability to perform basic arithmetic operations with all units of measure, including decimals, fractions, and monetary units. Strong communication skills to exchange information clearly and concisely, and the ability to maintain cooperative relationships.
• Bonus: Knowledge of Bank policies and procedures, products, and services. The capacity to perform repetitive work consistently and to efficiently transition between various tasks without losing composure.
