The Boeing Company is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to join the team in Berkeley, MO and work in the instrumentation Hardware/Software Integration Lab. This position will support the Air Dominance Flight Test Engineering organization by testing next generation instrumentation system components and architectures in the lab prior to installation in test articles of key Boeing test programs.

This position is for 1st shift; however, various shifts, nights, weekends, and overtime may be required to support program/project objectives.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Entry-Level and Associate Instrumentation Engineers.

Position Responsibilities

  • Design test hardware, software and systems to achieve test requirements. Identify required products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes / technologies
  • Generate electrical schematics using AutoCAD
  • Coordinate system fabrication, integration, modification, setup, checkout and teardown
  • Communicate and create relationships with instrumentation component suppliers
  • Identify test requirements and determine test methods
  • Troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation system problems
  • Analyze, review and validate test data to ensure flight test instrumentation hardware and software readiness
  • Conduct research in test technologies to improve efficiency and capability
  • Interface with project / program team members, management, and technical staff to define and implement test engineering solutions
  • Perform functions as required to ensure flight instrumentation system readiness and data validity
  • Periodic shift change and occasional domestic relocation travel required

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Level 2: 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 1+ years of experience with flight test, flight operations, or system test
  • 1+ years of experience with instrumentation systems for flight test programs
  • 1+ years of experience in a hardware/software integration lab
  • Enjoy working in a lab setting

Summary Pay Range Entry-Level (Level 1): $71,400 – $96,600

Summary Pay Range Associate Level (Level 2): $85,000 – $115,000

Potential signing bonus for eligible/qualified external candidates.
