The Opportunity: Summer Internship Program

Banc of California offers a paid, full-time summer internship opportunity, spanning 8 to 10 weeks, specifically designed for undergraduate students currently enrolled in an accredited college or university. As an intern, you will engage in impactful projects, collaborate with experienced industry professionals, and gain valuable hands-on experience within the dynamic financial services industry. All duties are performed in strict adherence to the Company’s policies and procedures, as well as all applicable U.S. state and federal laws and regulations in the Company’s operational regions.

How You’ll Make a Difference

  • Collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional partners, contributing directly to departmental and broader business objectives.
  • Provide essential support for day-to-day operations and ongoing projects within your assigned department.
  • Assist with critical tasks such as research, data analysis, reporting, and documentation as required.
  • Help in the preparation of presentations, summaries, and various materials for internal stakeholders.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Gain valuable exposure to various aspects of banking operations, governance frameworks, and risk management practices.
  • Develop core professional skills through practical hands-on experience, dedicated mentorship, and structured training.
  • Build foundational knowledge that will be highly applicable to a successful career in financial services.
  • Maintain the highest standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
  • Strictly adhere to all established company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by supervisors.

What You’ll Bring

  • Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree program in Business or a related field.
  • Junior or senior academic standing is preferred.
  • Possess strong organizational and effective time-management skills.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and a genuine willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled tools is preferred.
  • Exhibit strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.

SALARY RANGE

The base salary ultimately offered for this position is determined through a comprehensive review process. This process considers various factors, including the applicant’s education, relevant industry experience, specific training, existing knowledge, and demonstrated skills and abilities. This assessment is conducted in alignment with prevailing market data and other pertinent factors.
