Job Description

This position will play a crucial role in conducting essential field and laboratory testing. The primary focus will be on the analysis and evaluation of concrete, soil, asphalt, and aggregates to ensure quality and compliance with engineering standards.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

  • Performs sampling or testing procedures as directed by senior staff or project managers.
  • Provides dedicated assistance to other field and/or laboratory personnel, supporting various project needs.
  • Responsible for transporting equipment, specimens, or documents to field personnel, the laboratory, clients, or other offices. This also includes providing physical assistance in the set-up and breakdown of testing equipment.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment by regularly cleaning equipment, vehicles, and designated work areas.
  • Assists other technicians or professional staff with a variety of routine tasks to ensure smooth project operations.
  • Will be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility, gaining valuable experience and expertise in work assignments.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in progress in a science or a closely related field. Relevant fields include Environmental Science, Safety, Engineering (Civil, Geotechnical, Materials), Chemistry, Biology, or Geology.
  • Ideal Candidate: The preferred candidate will have less than one year remaining to complete their BS degree, indicating readiness to transition into a full-time professional role upon graduation.
