What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Management: Precisely update and maintain all sets of project drawings, specifications, and various essential logs, ensuring they are current, accurate, and readily accessible for all project stakeholders. This involves meticulous organization to support seamless project execution and record-keeping.
• Information Distribution: Efficiently prepare and manage the distribution of critical project documents to subcontractors, facilitating clear communication and ensuring all parties have the necessary information. This also includes maintaining comprehensive document logs for tracking purposes.
• Project Scheduling Support: Actively assist in the ongoing maintenance and updating of Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules, contributing to the timely progression and successful completion of projects. This includes supporting efforts to determine weekly labor production quantities.
• Information Request and Material Processing: Provide support in processing submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs), which are crucial for clarifying project details and material approvals. This involves diligently maintaining both the submittal log and the RFI log on the CMS system, as well as an expediting log.
• Data Entry and Compliance: Input vital data for labor cost reports and field quantity surveys, contributing to accurate project financial tracking and performance analysis. Additionally, assist with the documentation required for the Affirmative Action program, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This role is suitable for Early Career professionals or students actively pursuing a degree. Candidates must have completed or be in progress towards an Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree, or possess equivalent practical experience.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to accurately read and comprehend project plans and specifications is essential. This foundational skill ensures an understanding of project requirements and aids in various administrative tasks and documentation processes.
• Skills: Possess effective written and verbal English language communication skills to interact clearly with team members and external parties. The ability to use independent judgment and exhibit a self-starting approach to tasks is also critical for success in this role.
• Bonus: Basic estimating and scheduling skills are desirable, as is proficiency in drafting and general computer skills. These proficiencies will further enhance contributions to project planning and documentation.
