Position Details
As a Program Planner I, you will be based in Huntsville, AL, and support execution efforts across multiple sites and other Strategic Missile Defense (SMD) programs. This role is fundamental to the successful development and maintenance of compliant Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) that accurately reflect contractual scope and resources.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the development and maintenance of the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), ensuring seamless integration with the Integrated Master Plan (IMP).
- Maintain schedule integration between the IMS, the Program Summary Master Schedule, and supplemental schedules.
- Perform critical path and schedule risk analyses to identify potential issues and inform decision-making.
- Provide essential planning support to Production Operations and the Master Program Scheduler as part of monthly management rhythms, ensuring schedule accuracy.
- Conduct regular schedule integrity checks to uphold data quality and reliability.
- Generate and deliver various IMS reports and metrics to stakeholders.
- Present schedule-related information to both internal teams and external customers, including senior management briefings.
- Ensure strict compliance with Lockheed Martin Corporate Program Performance Management and Program Planning policies and practices.
Basic Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of Schedule Performance Management techniques.
- Proven experience in delivering briefings to team members and project teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be a United States citizen.
- Ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to start and ultimately a final Secret security clearance.
Desired Skills
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or a similar relevant field.
- 3 or more years of experience in planning or a program management-related discipline.
- Exposure to network scheduling tools such as MS Project, Open Plan, or Primavera.
- Understanding of Critical Path Scheduling methodology.
- Experience with Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development and maintenance.
- Knowledge of Integrated Master Plan (IMP).
- Familiarity with Production, Sustainment, and Depot Operations.
- Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Experience with Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) Development.
- Knowledge of proposal processes.
- Advanced Excel skill set, including macros, lookup tables, and VBA.
- Exposure to Schedule Risk Assessment processes/tools.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively using different techniques and build robust relationships.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
