This is a contract role, located in the Fort Wayne / Auburn / Angola, IN area. This position provides critical support to senior engineering staff on various engineering projects within the oil and natural gas industry. The role offers valuable hands-on experience and ongoing training, aiming to develop expertise in the development, maintenance, and evaluation of engineering designs and processes for oil and natural gas facilities. • Type: Hybrid (In-office Tues, Wed, and a third day of choice; potential transition to full-time onsite) – Contract to Hire

• Pay: $35–$40 hourly
• Team: Supports senior engineers.
• Mission: Provide critical engineering support for the development, maintenance, and evaluation of designs and processes for oil and natural gas facilities.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Provide day-to-day engineering support for various projects under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Develop: Assist in the development and maintenance of structural, systems, controls, and other engineering specifications, procedures, and directives.
• Design: Design materials, structures, and systems, ensuring considerations for practicality, regulations, safety, and cost.
• Study: Conduct feasibility studies, identify resource requirements (personnel and materials), and establish operational and development standards.
• Guide: Offer technical guidance to technicians and support senior professionals as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level Engineer with a PHMSA Accredited Mechanical or Civil Engineering Degree (ABET accredited).
• Experience: 0 to 4 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a basic understanding of engineering principles pertinent to the oil and gas industry.
• Bonus: Familiarity with industry safety standards and regulatory guidelines.
