The Tone:
This is a part-time role at Healthy Minds NYC, located in New York, NY. Healthy Minds NYC is a clinician-led outpatient psychiatry practice dedicated to providing culturally competent, highly accessible mental health care to New Yorkers. This role offers a unique growth opportunity, serving as a launchpad for 4th-year residents and fellows to gently transition from training into independent outpatient practice with dedicated mentorship and a clear path to a stable, full-time attending role.

The TL;DR

• Pay: $150–$250 hourly
• Team: Collaborative team of clinicians, therapists, and care coordinators, supporting each other’s growth.
• Mission: Facilitate a gentle and flexible transition for early-career psychiatrists into independent outpatient practice while delivering exceptional patient care.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Conduct: Perform psychiatric evaluations and provide medication management for patients.
• Collaborate: Work closely with therapists, care coordinators, and other clinicians as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Learn: Participate in case consultations and interprofessional learning opportunities to enhance clinical skills.
• Grow: Expand your patient caseload at a pace that aligns with your training schedule and personal career goals.
• Influence: Contribute to a practice that values your voice, your ideas, and supports your professional clinical growth.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early-career psychiatrist with an MD or DO degree from an accredited institution and completed residency training in Psychiatry.
• Experience: Board certification in Psychiatry or eligibility for certification is required; experience in outpatient mental health settings is preferred, and familiarity with telehealth practices is a plus.
• Skills: Possess strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, a compassionate approach to patient care, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to ongoing professional development and best practices in psychiatry is essential.
• Bonus: Current 4th-year psychiatry residents, current fellows in any psychiatry subspecialty, or recent graduates preparing for board certification are strongly encouraged to apply.
