FCA Ministry Intern | FCA

The Tone:
This is an internship at FCA, designed to develop collegiate student athletes in discerning their calling and career path. The organization introduces interns to various aspects of ministry, preparing them for spiritual leadership and service. This role is crucial to FCA’s mission, deeply rooted in serving God through ministry, and expects all responsibilities to be carried out with a heart surrendered to worship. Interns will gain practical experience and training aimed at developing their understanding of an individual calling to ministry.

• Mission: To develop the intern’s understanding of their individual calling to ministry through related training and experience while introducing them to various aspects of ministry through FCA.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Adherence: Agree with and abide by FCA’s Christian Community Statement.
• Spiritual Rhythm: Follow a spiritual rhythm including daily prayer and Bible study to seek the Lord’s will for FCA.
• Spiritual Leadership: Lead, conduct, and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship, and living by example.
• Church Involvement: Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.
• Biblical Conduct: Conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA’s Christian beliefs at all times.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This role is designed for collegiate volunteers, specifically student athletes, who are discerning their calling and career within a ministry context. Candidates should possess a foundational understanding and agreement with FCA’s Christian Community Statement and its biblical standards of conduct.
• Experience: Experience is not measured in years, but in a demonstrated commitment to spiritual growth and development within a learning and developmental ministry experience. Applicants should be prepared to engage in ministry focused on personal spiritual rhythm and the application of Christian beliefs in daily conduct.
• Skills: Ability to lead, conduct, and provide spiritual leadership through prayer, Bible study, and worship is essential. Strong personal discipline to follow a spiritual rhythm of daily prayer and Bible study is required, along with the capability to connect to and participate actively in a local church community.
