• Mission: Conduct field and laboratory testing of concrete, soil, asphalt, and aggregates to support critical engineering projects.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Conduct: Perform sampling or testing activities according to established protocols and safety guidelines.
• Assist: Provide essential support to other field and laboratory personnel, aiding team objectives.
• Transport: Move equipment, specimens, or documents to various locations and assist with equipment setup.
• Maintain: Ensure a clean and organized work environment by cleaning equipment, vehicles, and designated areas.
• Support: Assist other technicians or professional staff with routine tasks to contribute to project efficiency.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in a science or related field (e.g., Environmental Science, Safety, Civil, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or Geology).
• Experience: No prior professional experience is required for this entry-level student role.
• Skills: Ability to perform field and laboratory testing of concrete, soil, asphalt, and aggregates; adherence to safety guidelines and established protocols; physical capability for equipment transport and setup.
• Bonus: Less than one year remaining to complete a BS degree, indicating readiness to transition into a full-time professional role upon graduation.
