What You’ll Actually Do
• Teaching: Teach and facilitate graduate-level nursing courses exclusively in an asynchronous online format.
• Curriculum Development: Develop and revise course content to ensure alignment with program outcomes and accreditation standards.
• Student Support: Provide timely, constructive feedback and comprehensive academic support to graduate students.
• Faculty Participation: Actively participate in faculty meetings, various committees, and professional development initiatives.
• Program Enhancement: Contribute significantly to curriculum planning, program assessment, and accreditation efforts.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possession of a Doctoral degree (DNP or PhD in Nursing or a related field), current certification in an advanced practice role (e.g., Family Nurse Practitioner – FNP), and an unencumbered Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience teaching in an online or distance education format.
• Skills: Proficiency with various learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, D2L), strong written and oral communication, excellent organizational skills, and comprehensive knowledge of classroom practices, diverse teaching methodologies, assessment systems, and educational technology.
• Bonus: Proven experience with asynchronous course design and delivery, familiarity with effective online student engagement strategies and advanced assessment tools, and a record of scholarly activity or a demonstrated interest in research and publication.
