The Tone:
This is an intensive, one-year or less job training program at Year Up United, with the internship phase located in Pittsburgh, PA. Year Up United designs comprehensive programs to equip young adults with essential skills for a successful professional career. This program offers a vital pathway for individuals aiming to launch their careers through in-classroom skill development, valuable internship experience, and dedicated mentorship.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Skill Development: Engage in intensive in-classroom training, developing both technical and professional skills critical for career success. This includes focused training in high-demand areas such as Application Development, Customer Success, or Financial Operations.
• Practical Experience: Participate in a valuable internship experience with a top company, specifically at BNY Mellon in Pittsburgh, allowing you to apply learned skills in a real-world corporate environment.
• Career Preparation: Acquire professional business and communication skills, enhance interviewing and networking abilities, and build a strong resume through targeted guidance and workshops.
• Sustained Support: Benefit from personalized coaching, mentorship, and ongoing guidance throughout the program, designed to support your development and aid in launching your professional career.
• Financial Compensation: Earn an educational stipend of $525 per week during the internship phase of the program.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Certificate. Early Career. Must be a high school graduate or GED recipient and have not yet obtained a Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience: Available Monday-Friday throughout the entire duration of the program, demonstrating a strong commitment to learning and development.
• Skills: Eligible to work in the U.S. and highly motivated to acquire both technical and professional skills.
